The azimuth magnetic compass is a navigational pointing instrument made by the phenomenon that the magnetic field is attractive to the magnetic needle, which can indicate the heading, positioning and navigation of the ship.

The azimuth magnetic compass is mainly composed of two parts: a compass and a compass. The compass card with the magnetic needle is installed in the compass. According to the structure, the magnetic compass can be divided into two types: dry compass and liquid compass; according to the use, it can be divided into standard compass, steering compass, emergency compass, and boat compass. Modern ships often have a standard compass on the open deck of the top of the bridge that projects the compass reading into the cab, which doubles as a steering compass. This type of compass has two types of reflection and projection. Their basic structure is similar to that of ordinary compass, and there is only one set of optical projection systems.
