The magnetic pole does not coincide with the geographical North and South Pole, and the free hanging needle refers to a deviation angle with the geographical North and south direction, that is, the magnetic declination angle. 


In the specially designed navigation map, there is magnetic deviation correction. The true course of the aircraft is obtained by adding the magnetic heading readings to the magnetic difference algebra. The magnetic field intensity vector and the horizontal plane angle are called the magnetic inclination angle. The inclination is not equal, the closer to the inclination of the magnetic pole. 


In high latitudes, the horizontal component of geomagnetic field is very weak, which has little influence on the directionality of magnetic levitation level. Therefore, an electromagnetic compass cannot be used in the polar regions of the earth.
